Background and Experience
Neil is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Construction Manager, Arbitrator, Adjudicator (NSW, QLD, WA, NT), Arbitrator, Expert Determiner, Mediator and Expert Witness with over 20 years of experience in quantum, technical matters and delay related to large-scale development, construction projects and disputes. His expertise encompasses building, engineering, infrastructure, marine and resource industries.
He has provided strategic guidance to leading law firms, clients, consultants, developers and contractors on complex matters and multidisciplinary projects through all stages of the development lifecycle. This includes managing varied developments and representing parties in dispute resolutions domestically and globally.
With extensive qualifications and industry experience, Neil is well-equipped to consult on all facets of construction projects and disputes. He holds financial, construction management, legal and alternative dispute resolution qualifications and accreditations, including a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law, a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration, and is an accredited Expert Determiner, Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Mediator on various domestic and international panels.
His consulting services cover delay, contract and technical disputes including loss and expense claims, variations, time extensions, liquidated damages and defective work. He is able to provide determinative and facilitative services on a wide range of disputes.
